Coronavirus (COVID-19): Important Information About Social Security Services

All local Social Security offices have been closed to the public for in-person service since March 17, reports the Social Security Administration (SSA). This decision was made to safeguard the older and at-risk populations SSA serves, as well as the agency's employees during this time of crisis. Mike Korbey, Deputy Commissioner for Communications, notes that SSA is still able to provide critical services.
